1. About the Platform
Invoizen ("we," "us," "our") provides an online platform at invoizen.com/get-estimate that connects homeowners ("you" or "User") with independent, licensed local contractors ("Contractors"). We are a lead-generation and connection service only — we are not a contractor, we do not perform any home improvement work, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any work performed by Contractors.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States to use this platform. By submitting a request you represent that these conditions are met.
3. The Estimate Request Process
- You submit a free estimate request describing your home improvement project.
- We match your request with up to three (3) licensed Contractors in your area.
- Matched Contractors will contact you directly to discuss the project and provide quotes.
- You are under no obligation to hire any Contractor.
- Estimates provided by Contractors are non-binding unless you enter into a separate written agreement with a Contractor.
4. Our Role — We Are Not a Contractor
Invoizen is a technology platform and is not a licensed contractor or home improvement company. We do not supervise, direct, or control any Contractor's work. Any contract for home improvement services is solely between you and the Contractor. We are not a party to that agreement and accept no liability for the Contractor's performance.
5. Contractor Independence
Contractors on our platform are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Invoizen. We perform basic license verification but do not guarantee a Contractor's licensing status, insurance coverage, work quality, reliability, or compliance with applicable law. You are responsible for independently verifying a Contractor's credentials before hiring.
6. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and truthful project information
- Use the platform only for lawful home improvement purposes
- Not submit false, fraudulent, or duplicate requests
- Not contact or harass Contractors outside the scope of your estimate request
7. Communications Consent (TCPA)
By submitting your phone number, you expressly consent to receive calls and/or SMS text messages from Invoizen and matched Contractors at the number you provide, including via automated dialing systems, for the purpose of following up on your estimate request. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. Consent is not a condition of receiving services.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and software on this platform are owned by or licensed to Invoizen. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INVOIZEN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR ANY HOME IMPROVEMENT SERVICES PROVIDED BY A CONTRACTOR. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Invoizen and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or any dispute between you and a Contractor.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules in Los Angeles County, California. You waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes we will post a notice on the platform.
